4th of July Eucharist Service

4th of July Eucharist Service

Come to our 4th of July eucharist service at 10:00 am. This celebration begins with a festive prelude played on the Church bells followed by a service incorporating patriotic songs from the 1982 Hymnal.

Episcopal Church history is inexorably linked to the American Revolution and our political and religious split from England.  Lessons and prayers for observing this day were a part of the Proposed Prayer Book of 1786 but were deleted from the approved 1789 BCP with the recognition that most clergy had sided with the Crown during the revolution. Our current Prayer Book has restored Independence Day as a Major Feast of the Church Year. Childcare available.

Visitors are always welcome!
