Coffee Hour Reflection, August 23, 2020

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Many of you know that I wasn’t at our Zoom Coffee Hour on Sunday as I was on a Staycation for the weekend! Father Jay was kind enough to step in and have a good conversation with those present.

I highly recommend a Staycation as it can truly lift your spirits. I think that right now we are all searching for a soft place to rest. And sometimes, I just need to slow down enough to realize that God is my soft place to rest.

May you find a soft place to rest knowing God’s love and protection are always with you.

Peace and love,
Deacon Lauren

Psalm 78:1-4

“Give ear, O my people, to my teaching;
incline your ears to the words of my mouth.
I will open my mouth in a parable;
I will utter dark sayings from of old,
things that we have heard and known,
that our ancestors have told us.
We will not hide them from their children;
we will tell to the coming generation
the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might,
and the wonders that he has done.”
