Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We talked about forgiveness during our Zoom Coffee Hour on Sunday, September 13th.
Often times, it is just coincidental that what either Father Eric or Father Jay preach about is the same message that I plan to discuss during our Coffee Hours.
Father Jay’s message from his sermon concentrated mainly on forgiveness, which is what I had also planned to discuss as well. God works in marvelous and mysterious ways!
We must remember that forgiveness is the foundation of our faith in God. Forgiveness was the same message that Jesus was telling us from our Gospel reading from Matthew that we heard this Sunday.
“Then Peter came and said to him, ‘Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?’ Jesus said to him, ‘Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.” (Matthew 18-21-22)
I encourage you to forgive easily and many times if necessary as God would have us to.
