Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We had a thought-provoking conversation during our Zoom Coffee Hour on January 17th following our Sunday Service.
We discussed Father Jay’s sermon about how we can look at ourselves as a hero of our own life story. And how when we are able to do this then we are able, with God’s help, to survive many of life’s hardships.
We also discussed some verses of Psalm 139 that was appointed for Sunday. We concentrated on how God knows all about us. There are no secrets from God.
I closed with a poem written by St. Teresa of Avilla from the 16th Century.
Peace and love,
Deacon Lauren

A poem written by St. Teresa of Avila
According to my Spiritual Advisor this poem was found hand written assumed to have been written by St. Teresa and tucked into her bible.
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things.
Whoever has God lacks nothing;
God alone suffices.
