Rector’s Message
For over 150 years, St. Matthew’s has been a beacon at the center of San Mateo. We are a Church rooted and nourished by a rich tradition, one that values diversity and engages the challenges and complexities of the modern world. Our community gathers for worship with communion every at 8:00am and 10:15am every Sunday and for special Feast Days as announced. Where ever you are in your spiritual journey we hope that a visit with us will be rewarded by discovering a place of welcome, beauty, joy and prayer.

Livestream Church Services
Our Sunday Service is broadcast live via Facebook every Sunday at 10:15am. You can either watch the service live or view later at your convince. We upload each weeks service when available to our website. Click the links below to join our service live or view our archives for past services.

Programs & Services
Music
St. Matthew’s choirs include: an adult Chancel Choir with four soloists, Children & Youth Choirs, and a Bell Choir. Every Sunday Service is accompanied by traditional organ music.
Children & Families
The Children’s Ministry includes faith formation for children of all ages and Children’s & Youth Choirs. The Fellowship Parents Group hosts workshops and events for parents and families.
Outreach
St. Matthew’s contributes to the full community life of San Mateo with volunteer hours and financial contributions. Outreach ministries include the Thrift Shop, Laundry Love and Home & Hope.
