Fellowship is an important way we get to know one another.

Book Group:  The St. Matthew’s Book Group meets five Wednesday evenings a year to discuss books chosen by the group. Selections include recent and classic fiction and nonfiction.  Recent books include: Some Assembly Required by Anne Lamott, My Beloved World by Sonia Sotomayor, The Last Runaway by Tracy Chevalier, and Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown.  The group is open to parishioners, Day School family members, and guests interested in books and conversation.

Coffee Hour(s):  Happens after both the 8am and 10:15am services.  This is an opportunity for us to catch up with one another, discuss the sermon or other topics of interest, and get to know newcomers.  Food is provided based on alphabetical rotation, and is published in the Ivy Leaf, the proceeding week.   Special coffee hours are enjoyed throughout the year, especially for holidays, such as Easter, where the congregation enjoys a fantastic Easter brunch, in celebration of Christ’s resurrection.

Young Family Dinner Group:  A monthly opportunity for young families to gather and enjoy each other’s company over a potluck dinner!

Gala (Biennial Event):  Occurring every other year, the Gala is a “don’t miss” event in the life of the church.  This all parish fundraiser is a themed event with live auction and is always a ton of fun!  Don’t miss it!
