Our Thrift shop is currently closed for the season. We are closed for June and July but reopen in August. We are only open 10 months out of the year due to our store only being operational with volunteer service availability. During that time only do we accept donations, the church office can not accept donations outside of operation hours, we do not have the space to store items. Please consider reaching out to one of our other local neighborhood shops to drop off donations. We look forward to seeing our shoppers again in August. Please call the church office at 650-342-1482 for any additional information.
For over 60 years the St. Matthew Thrift Shop has served the community by selling donated items at affordable prices and offering a friendly atmosphere while enjoying a cup of coffee and cookie.
The Thrift Shop donates funds to local and regional outreach. The Thrift shop is staffed by 20 volunteers from the parish and the community.
The shop continues to receive wonderful donations of gently used clothing, jewelry, household goods and children’s toys from estate sales, our parish, the Day School and the wider community throughout the year. THANK YOU!
The Thirft Shop is open from the middle of August and closes in June with the very popular $1 sale. When the shop is open, operating hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The Thrift Shop has made its home in the basement of St. Matthew’s since 1949 and resells donated items at a very low price. Our operation provides the principle source of income for the League for Service, which is disbursed to local, regional and national charities. The shop is staffed entirely by volunteers, most of whom are also parishioners. We welcome donations of gently used clothing, jewelry, small furniture items, household goods and children’s toys.
If you would like to volunteer at the shop or have questions about donating items, please contact Diana Dykes, Thrift Shop Manager, at thriftshop@episcopalstmatthew.org.
